Summer Job

Every year, I always want a summer job and I usually never end up getting it for various reasons. People don’t hire me, I don’t look in the right places, and I’m kind of lazy too so I don’t look in the right places at all. However, recently a pretty cool idea came to me. What if I become a subway performer?! Seriously. I’ll play guitar and sing songs and leave my guitar case open for anyone who wants to give me money. I checked the rules of performing online and it’s all legit.  I just gotta find a place. Think about the benefits. I get to work my own hours. I get to do something I love. Itll do wonders for any stage fright issues I have, I meet tons of new people everyday, and possibly, I get put a smile on someone’s face. Now there are some downsides to this job. Number one. What if I get robbed or something?! That will be horrible and totally not cool. Secondly, i’ll be singing christian songs. Not like, praise and worship songs, but inspirational songs, would that hinder people from giving me money? Hmm, I guess it really doesn’t matter. Of course i’ll be straight up about my cause. I’ll put up a sign that says “My Summer Job” on my case or something, so people don’t think I’m doing it for charity. But this is something I’m seriously considering, what do ya’ll think?

I’m Back!

I know I say that all the time, but 2nd semester got really tough, and I figured, hey, if I have time to blog, I might as well use that time to do projects and study and stuff of that nature. Besides, it’s hard to think of topics when you feel like you’re getting overwhelmed by school and stuff like that. But guess what?! I’m finished and done! And I’ll try to commit better to the whole blogging thing. As always, with the end of each semester, I’ll show some of my projects and stuff. But only from a few classes, and the ones that I like lol.

That’s it! Of course there were more classes and more projects but these were the best ones. I definitely enjoyed this semester a WHOLE lot more than last since I got to use the computer more. Which I had to use for the books. (I had to cut and glue the pages myself btw they weren’t printed double sided). It was hard work, but I enjoyed it. Can’t wait till I do even cooler stuff. Counting money..

So yesterday i was going home from F.I.T. on the number 2 train, and in typical NYC transit fashion, there was a beggar. However this one was different, he was blind, which I am not accostomed to seeing. Of course I was a bit skeptical at first, maybe he’s just pretending to get sympathy, but he semmed to the real deal. He kept saying that he wasnt born blind, he’s been blind for 11 eleven years, and walking back and forth across the train car of course because its not like he can stop infront of a person whos taking money out of thier pocket, because he ca’t see them, so he just has to keep walkin back n forth hoping someone will drop something in on one of the trips. I ended putting a dollar in his little cup and sat back down. He say down and asked loudly what stop is it, and the gentleman next to him told him. He sat down and began to count his change and then I got to thinking. It’s probably easy for a blind person to tell the difference between change, but what about paper money? How do they know if they are giving someone a 5 dollar bill or a 10 dollar bill? What if the store owner is grimey and jips them of thier money, how do they know if they get back the right change? Is there some sort of difference in the material of a $20 bill or a $50 bill..   hmm to me, that’s something to think about, is paper money able to be used efficiently by blind people? 

 

I hope he’s not hoping that dollar I gave him is a 20…

 

The Classic Crime

I love this EP, every songs is great. The Classic Crime is a pretty beasty band. I highly recommend this CD for those who like Acoustic music, and The Classic crime is even awesome when wrting the heavy stuff. Check em out.

Not my favorite form the EP, but I still gave it 5 stars. And I hate putting up songs from youtube withiout an official video. Well, here it is!

 

I fight because I have to win..

 

This.. Chapter .. was.. bananas! Ulquiorra pulls out a second release, and claims to be the only Espada able to do so, which I think is pretty ironic for an Arrancar that hates shinigami so much. Being the only Espada to do a second release, (like a Bankai) pretty much makes him the Espada that’s closest to a shinigami. Heh go figure. Alright so what’s next? Is Ichigo gonna pull out some second hollow form? Then again, didn’t the hollow part of Ichigo tell him to not get himself killed or else he’s going to have to come out again? Is seeing Ichigo die going to pull out some crazy power out of Inoue? Is Ishida gonna go all out and lose his Quincy powers again? I don’t know, but I can’t wait!

 

My Mcchicken addiction

For those who have been faithful readers since I started my college journey, you know that the Mcchicken as been the answer to my lunchtime prayers. (Read Here for that entry.) I was so lost, so hungry, and so cheap, but Mcdonalds dollar menu provided a way for me to stuff myself everyday, for just $3.24. (Two Mcchicken’s and a small Hi-C) To me, that’s a bargain! However, as the new semester started, my mom has been packing me lunch to take to F.I.T. which of course is better, because now, I don’t have to spend any money at all. It’s cost efficient.. right.. RIGHT? You would think so, but I still get the cravings for a McChicken. I would eat my homecooked meal, go to my next class and when the teacher gives us a 20 minute break, I’d still rush over to Mickey D’s to fill that mcchickenny void in my heart. Or when my day is done, I’d still go get a mcchicken before I go home. It’s a problem, I know. I’d go to Mcdonalds planning just to buy one mcchicken to satisfy my craving, but end up leaving with two. I’m not even that hungry, but yet.. the mcchicken calls me.. I smell it as I roam the F.I.T. halls. (sigh) I think I’m getting better tho, I haven’t had a Mcchicken all week, so that’s progress right? (Sigh) Oh Mcchicken, oh it’s what you do to me.. oh what you do to me…

O that reminds me, one of these days I’m planning on doing a study about which fast food cheap chains chicken sandwich, is the best. It will be based on size, additional toppings, fill factor, and availability. I’d like to hear some opinions of those whom  have had the chicken sandwiches and which you prefer and your reasons… yes I’m fat! Leave me alone!

 

Eh..

So this past monday I upgraded to Verzon Fios, the whole package, internet, phone and tv. And to be honest, I don’t see much of a speed difference when surfing the web compared to my DSL. Maybe because my mom ordered the 20/20mbps deal instead of the 50/20 mbps deal. Which is like double the price. But I dunno know much about how computer speeds are supposed to go n such. But another cool thing is that now I have cable. I have NEVER had cable before in my life, so the sudden rush of new channels is kind of hard for me to handle. It’s hard for me to stay on one show because I feel I am missing out. My friend has already assured me that my life is doomed as I know it now that I have cable. But I think I’m strong enough to fight it’s power.

….. Any show recommendations?

La Fleur

For all the Lost fans..

Lost has been doin it’s thing since the season started. And I love Sawyer’s character transformation. Before it seemed like Farraday was becoming more of the leader type but it seems he’s gonna be out of commission for awhile considering Charlette’s death. But Sawyer has definetly come in and taken up the leader role. He thought quick on his feet when talking to Horace. He was fearless when doing business with Richard. He was confident in encouraging Juliet, and caring when talking to Amy. (I believe that’s the name of Horace’s baby mama, correct me if I’m wrong.) Sawyer has become a real caring compassionate person and a great leader and I love it! What do you guys think? Better leader than Jack? hmmmm, time will tell. I also don’t mind him being with Juliet either but we’ll see how that gets rocked in the weeks to come with Jack and Kate’s arrival. And I would really like a backstory on Miles soon in the future. And Richard is totally cool. Ok that’s it.
